What a busy Halloween we had!! Reagan had school on Halloween and of course they got to wear costumes and have a party after class. She had wanted to go as "french fries" for the entire month of October until we went to a Halloween party w/ the MOMS club. When we were at the party, she saw a little girl dressed as Doc McStuffins and there was no going back. For those of you unaware, Doc McStuffins is a cute show on Disney Jr. It's about a little girl who is a Doctor for her stuffed animals. She looks like this:
Reagan's costume ended up looking pretty cute, we managed to scramble and get the entire costume in a pretty short amount of time. In addition to her school party, we also ended up going down to Kurt's office to trick or treat the financial advisors at Merrill Lynch. Reagan and Reese were a big hit and they were glad to get a warm up trick or treating round before the real deal last night.
We hosted a get together last night w/ both sets of grandparents, Laur, Matt, Jack and Josie and then our friends the Schrandts. We had spooky kids food and then a chili bar for the adults. After dinner we went around the neighborhood where the kids collected way more candy than they needed.
Today at school, Reagan's class went next door to the Spring Creek nursing home to trick or treat. They allowed parents and siblings so Reese and I tagged along with the class. It was so great to see the kids interacting with the "grandmas". It was shocked that none of them seemed hesitant to talk to them!! They walked right in and started talking with them. You could tell that the grandmas absolutely loved having them there. The class even sang happy birthday to one lady who was turning 100 on Saturday!! It was so sweet. here are some pictures.
